Perform the tests, record and analyze the results
Using spreadsheets to keep track of your aquarium balance evolution? Understandable, but we aim to improve the experience. No need to manually set up aquarium parameters each time, manually typing the results here and there, juggling between tools to keep track of everything.
Ilaequor is designed to make the job easy and the situation of your aquarium clear.
How Ilaequor works
Set the tank up once. After that, every testing session follows the same steps.
-
Run the session
With Ilaequor, you can set up a timer for each test, and then type the results comfortably.
-
Enter each reading
As each test develops, type the value. Ilaequor shows it in context: above or below target, better or worse than last session, and a rough ETA to target.
-
Get your next doses
Review the tank's modeled state and its ratios, elemental N:K (nitrogen to potassium) and the NO3:PO4 Redfield band (nitrate to phosphate), then accept, reject or modify the next-period dose recommendations.
What you get
-
One-handed session timers.
A test run stops being a two-hands-and-a-kitchen-timer job. Set up the timer and type the result in the same place.
-
Ratios, not single readings.
It tracks elemental N:K and the NO3:PO4 Redfield band against their target ranges, so you manage the balance the method actually cares about, not one nitrate number in isolation.
-
A logbook that replaces the spreadsheet.
Every session is saved, with history and trends you can scan across months.
Common questions
Do I have to switch fertilizers to use Ilaequor?
No. Ilaequor works from the fertilizers you already dose. You enter each stock once, the fertilizer, the grams, and the volume of water you dissolved it in, and the app does the dosing math from your tank volume. There is nothing new to buy and no product line to switch to.
Which dosing methods does it support?
The engine is method-agnostic. It tracks levels, ratios, and doses for any fertilizer routine, whether you follow EI (Estimative Index), PPS-Pro, lean dosing, or the GEN ratio method. GEN's N:K and Redfield targets are built in, and you can set your own target ranges for every element.
Will the results of the tests be stored?
Yes, we will include a log functionality, so you can see how the situation evolves in time.
Which platforms will it be available on?
First we will develop the web application, running only in browsers. But in the future we will create dedicated Android and iOS applications.
Will it be free?
The pricing is not set yet, but we are planning to offer a free plan.
