Why Ilaequor exists.
A friend services his planted tank about every two weeks: a run of color-change reagent tests for ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate, plus a two-reagent titration for calcium and magnesium. Between sessions he re-derived every dose in a spreadsheet, chased a single nitrate reading, and guessed at the potassium he could not reliably test. We wanted that whole routine to live in one app that times the tests, models where the tank actually sits, and turns each session into the next set of doses. Ilaequor is that app.
Behind Ilaequor: Illucrum.
Illucrum is a small software studio (Illucrum LLC, registered in Austin, Texas). We build focused, practical software. Ilaequor is our product for planted-aquarium keepers, and we are building it the way we like to build: get it working perfectly for one real tank and one real routine first, then generalize. You can reach us at szymon.kokot@illucrum.com.
How we build.
-
Honest, not hyped.
No fabricated proof, no fake urgency. If we cannot back a claim with a number, a mechanism, or an example, it does not go on the page.
-
Numbers and ratios first.
Ilaequor manages the balance the method cares about, elemental N:K (nitrogen to potassium) and the NO3:PO4 (nitrate to phosphate) Redfield band, not one reading in isolation.
-
Your fertilizers, not ours.
It works from the fertilizer stocks you already dose. There is nothing new to buy and no product line to switch to.
-
Method-agnostic under the hood.
The engine tracks levels, ratios, and doses for any routine, whether you follow EI (Estimative Index), PPS-Pro, lean dosing, or the GEN ratio method, so it is not locked to one philosophy.
-
Built for real use.
The tank-side screen is designed to be used one-handed with reaction timers running, because that is how testing actually goes.
Where Ilaequor is going.
Ilaequor is in active development. The web application comes first, running in the browser; dedicated Android and iOS apps are planned to follow. We are starting with a single planted tank and one careful routine, and keeping the data model general so more tanks, methods, and features can follow without a rebuild. Join the development-updates list and you will hear which platform launches first.
